Studio portrait of 1956 Private (Pte) Victor Alexander Spiers, 47th Battalion, AIF, of Brisbane, Qld. Pte Spiers enlisted on 12 January 1916 and embarked from Brisbane aboard HMAT Clan McGillivray on 1 May 1916. He was killed on 11 April 1917, at Bullecourt, France, aged 20.
