Family information:

Private William Thomas PERKS, 339, 4th Coy, Australian Machine Gun Corp. Son of Edwin Augustus and Emily Ann Perks of Korbel Western Australia.

Enlisted at Merredin WA 14March 1916. Embarked “Miltiades” Fremantle 9 August 1916, disembarked Plymouth 25 September 1916. He was killed in action at Bullecourt on 11 April 1917. His body was never recovered. He is named on the Memorial at Villers-Bretonneux. He was 19 years old. His father Edwin Perks was also in the AIF in England at the time of Williams death.

Killed in Action – 11th April, 1917 (Villers-Bretonneux, France)
