My grandfathers brother Curtis Clark Veal(a stretcher bearer) at Gallipoli saved Lt. Pattison from immediate death at Gallipoli. Because of Veal’s efforts Pattison was brought back to the Australian lines and eventually shipped to Cairo. Sadly Lt. Pattison passed away some 2 weeks later from blood poisoning allowing Lt. Pattison another 4 weeks of life. Pattison was 27 when he passed away.
